An Alaskan Photography Experience

Experience Alaska at its wildest!

Join Mark Garbutt, an experienced photographer and naturalist on a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience in some of Alaska's most beautiful countryside.

You will need to schedule your arrival in Anchorage, AK for the evening of September 3rd. .  We will stay at a local Anchorage hotel (included in workshop cost) and get acquainted as a group for a couple hours in the early evening to review the details of the trip.  We depart early from Anchorage for our drive through some of Alaska's most beautiful countryside where we will spend our first night at Riley Creek Campground with some late afternoon and evening photo opportunities.  We will then depart via Park shuttle bus on Day 2 to go deep into the Alaskan wilderness where we will spend the next 4 nights at Wonder Lake campsite.  Photographers will have exceptional opportunities to photograph wildlife, spend time on macro work, and if the weather cooperates, get some great shots of Mt. McKinley (Denali).  We then return via van to Anchorage.
 
You can EXTEND your Alaskan experience with an optional 5-Day bear viewing trip into Brooks Camp.

Each workshop includes:

• First night accommodation in Anchorage
• Transportation to and from Denali
• All meals while camping in the backcountry (with some share camp chores)
• Participants need to bring their own camping gear (clothing & gear recommendations will be sent prior to departure)

Round trip airfare to Anchorage (approx. $500.00) and trip insurance are additional.

NOTE:  Guests should be reasonably fit and able to hike with their camera gear (preferably stored in a photo backpack) to the various photo shoot locations.

Reservations & Payment:

A non-refundable deposit of $150.00 is due within 10 days of reservation to hold your space.  Balance of payment is due in full 60 days before the workshop.
